The observation
Across the industries we studied — healthcare, finance, connectivity, government, education — a pattern kept repeating. Each organization had bought more software than the year before. Each had adopted more AI. Each had migrated to more cloud. And yet, quietly, each was slower to decide, harder to coordinate and more fragmented internally than a decade prior.
Growth had produced complexity. Complexity had produced friction. Friction was quietly eroding institutional capacity.
