Institutions are shaped by the character of the people who lead them. We deliberately look for leaders who take long-horizon decisions, treat operational excellence as a craft, and hold themselves accountable to the organizations whose infrastructure depends on us.

We look for engineers who have shipped systems that outlived the teams that built them; operators who have led complex organizations through change without breaking them; and designers who understand that the deepest form of design is the shape of an organization's daily work.

We favor people who read history, who write clearly, who are comfortable in ambiguity, and who take responsibility without being asked.
